Less Than Full Time Training
If you are a trainee within the School and are considering Less Than Full-time training it is advisable to contact Dr Ted Rees, Training Programme Director (TPD) well in advance. You will then need to complete an application form for eligibility which is downloaded from the Deanery website. If you have any questions relating to the application form / process it is worth contacting the Deanery directly (contacts below). Once the application is approved it is essential to liaise again with the Programme Director regarding the practicalities of your rotation e.g. available slot shares etc.
- Becky Trainer, Flexible Training Administrator
- Dr Geoffrey Wright, Associate Postgraduate Dean
If you will be occupying a purely supernumerary position we will also need to obtain GMC approval for the post. However, most LTFT trainees will occupy a slot share, which has already been approved. The Deanery and TPD will advise you if further approval is necessary.
Dr Lucy Miller is the Flexible Trainees Representative who attends the School Board Meetings to represent flexible trainees.
